Summary

In 1977–78, residents of Colares and other Pará river communities reported beams of light from aerial objects that left burn marks on witnesses. The Brazilian Air Force ran an official field investigation, Operação Prato ('Operation Saucer'), led by Captain Uyrangê Hollanda, gathering hundreds of photographs, witness reports and hand-drawn sketches. This CENDOC envelope is the Air Force's own 1978 case file, released through Brazil's National Archive.
