United States Air Force UAP records
United States Air Force records form the historical backbone of US-Government UAP material — Project Blue Book (1952–1969), the foundational Special Report No. 14 (1955), the Schulgen Collection Memorandum (1947), the Bolender memo (1969, released 1979), the AFOSI Kirtland-Edwards memo (1980), and the Halt Memorandum from Rendlesham Forest (1980). The 1948 Estimate of the Situation is included as a reference-only entry — its only known copies were destroyed on order of Chief of Staff Hoyt Vandenberg.
Blue Book closed in December 1969 on the recommendation of the Condon Report. USAF UFO records since then are sparse and emerge mostly via FOIA requests on individual incidents (Rendlesham, Halt) rather than a standing programme.
